About Me

I am a fourth-grade teacher at St. Charles Elementary in Michigan and a graduate student pursuing my Master's in Instructional Technology. With experience designing engaging learning experiences, integrating meaningful technology, and support student self-regulation, I am passionate about creating classroom environments where all learners can thrive. My work blends intructional design, SEL practices, and innovative digital tools to support authentic learning and empower students to grow with confidence and curiosity.

Teaching Philosophy

Building a Safe, Supportive, and Engaging Learning Environment

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to take ownership of their learning. I design experiences that are structured, student-centered, and grounded in community. Through consistent norms, SEL practices, and opportunities for collaboration and choice. I help students develop curiosity, independence, and self-regulation. My goa is to nurture confident learners who persevere, think critically, and believe in their own ability to grow.

Instructional Technology Philosophy

Using Technology Purposefully to Enhance Learning

My instructional technology philosophy is grouunded in purposeful, student-centered integration. I use digital tools to enhance learning- supporting engagement, choice, collaboration, and accessbility- while maintaining the human connection that is at the heart of teaching. Whether co-learning with studnets, designing interactive lessons, or applying frameworks like SAMR, UDL, or ADDIE, I focus on selecting tools that align with learning goals and empower students to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop responible digital habits.
